The franchises described in this disclosure document are for the establishment and operation of two types of restaurants that, under the name Tim Hortons, sell coffee and other non-alcoholic beverages, baked goods, soups, sandwiches, and related products. In addition, a limited number of restaurants, most of which will be existing Tim Hortons franchisees, may be offered the opportunity to supplement their restaurant’s product mix by also selling selected Cold Stone Creamery products in addition to their Tim Hortons product offerings.

Tim Hortons USA Inc. was incorporated in Delaware in June, 2007. Their principal business address is 5505 Blue Lagoon Drive, Miami, Florida 33126. They opened the first Tim Hortons Shop in the United States in 1984.


Investment
The total investment necessary to begin operation of a Tim Hortons franchise (excluding real property) ranges from $257,050 to $933,800 for a Non-Standard Shop/Kiosk, and from $680,900 to $1,906,300 for a Standard Shop. This includes $124,600 to $407,300 for a Non-Standard Shop/Kiosk and $261,100 to $482,300 for a Standard Shop that must be paid to the franchisor or an affiliate.
The total investment necessary to begin operation of a Co-Branded Restaurant franchise (excluding real property) ranges from $680,500 to $1,822,400 for a newly-built Co-Branded Restaurant and from $120,300 to $204,600 for a Tim Hortons restaurant that is renovated to become a Co-Branded Restaurant. This includes $486,000 to $686,500 for a newly-built Co-Branded Restaurant and $95,200 to $177,600 for a Tim Hortons restaurant that is renovated to become a Co-Branded Restaurant that must be paid to the franchisor or an affiliate.
