The total investment necessary to operate multiple Gyms under a form of area development agreement depends on the number of franchises the franchisor grants you the right to open. The total investment necessary to enter into a development agreement for the right to develop three franchised Gyms is $927,000 to $3,035,000, which includes the development fee amounting to $120,000 that is paid to the franchisor prior to opening, and the estimated initial investment to begin operation of your initial Gym. The development fee is based on the number of franchised Gyms the franchisor awards you the right to develop and is calculated as the sum of the following: $45,000 for the right to develop your initial Gym; plus $40,000 for the right to develop a second Gym; plus $35,000 for the right to develop the third and each additional Gym.
