They are a Vermont corporation, incorporated on October 18, 2005, under the name Resort Maps Acquisition Corporation for the purpose of purchasing the assets of their predecessor Murphy Holdings, Inc. (formerly Resort Maps Franchise, Inc.). On November 1, 2011 Resort Maps Franchise, Inc. changed its name to Discovery Map International, Inc.
