Captain D’s, LLC originally formed as a Delaware limited liability company on June 25, 1999, under the name SHN Investments, LLC. They converted into a Delaware corporation on August 30, 2000, and changed their name to Captain D’s, Inc. The next day, on August 31, 2000, their predecessor, Shoney’s, Inc., now known as Sholand, LLC transferred all of the assets and liabilities comprising its Captain D’s division to them. In August of 2002, they converted back to a Delaware limited liability company and changed their name to Captain D’s, LLC.
