The total investment necessary to begin operation of a newly-constructed prototypical AC Hotels by Marriott hotel, excluding the cost of real estate and related costs (building permit, tap, and impact fees), insurance, and contingencies, ranges from $16,740,910 to $44,116,510 for a 100 to 150-room AC Hotels by Marriott and from $24,809,510 to $54,139,210 for a 151 to 200-room AC Hotels by Marriott. This includes approximately $172,300 to $282,200 that must be paid to the franchisor or an affiliate.
